AREA OF OPPORTUNITY
Throughout the innovation of the stove, technology has made significant advancements making cooking a lot quicker, easier, and convenient. However, inclusivity has been a rising concern with new products. In light of this area of opportunity, I wanted to redesign the stove to make it as inclusive to the visually impaired.
DESIGN GOALS:
After deciding to redesign the stove, I laid out a couple of design guidelines: Design for Safety, Visually Impaired Friendly, Easy to use & understand, Convenient.
CONCEPT SKETCHES

During ideation, induction technology was integrated with the pot/pan for a cohesive design and convenient storage. Rounded forms were prioritized for visual impairment considerations. Analog features were added to address touch-control issues, including warning touch points like a white warning strip and texture for user safety.
